A while back I had lucked out and found this turbo controller on eBay for super cheap. Since the original famicom controllers are wired right into the famicom you plug this on in using the port on the front of the machine (this is the same place where you plug the zapper in).
Notice the awesome Hudson Bee in the top left hand side, you know its gonna be good when you see this!
It has 3 different turbo settings for both the A and B button. Normal, turbo and super turbo I guess lol. So I’m going to try it out using Contra, figured that would be a good game to use to show off what this controller can do, check out this video!
Turbo controllers are super useful in many shooters.
I think the Nintendo original controllers are the ONLY ones without it. Even my amazing Joy Ball has it.
Ya it’s funny how they never put turbo on their own controllers, unless you count the Sharp Twin Turbo Famicom…
